Lydia & Adam * Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography

Lydia and Adam were married at Avondale Chapel in Bentonville Arkansas this summer, and I was so glad to be there as their wedding photographer. They had a couple of bumps along the road with their wedding planning, but sailed right through with a focus on celebrating their love for each other. This is what a wedding day is truly all about- and these two adapted to a new plan with a calm cool demeanor, and filled their day with happiness and love from friends and family who came from around the county (and world!) to celebrate. When I met Lydia, I knew we’d be a great match during this journey- she is one of the sweetest people I’ve met, and her love for Adam shines so brightly. She lights up when she talks about him in a way that just inspires us all to love a little deeper. Adam and Lydia opted to do a first look on their wedding day, and his face was just priceless when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time. Our wedding portraits were some of my favorites- they were completely natural, completely uninhibited by the camera in front of them, as if no one else was in the room. After years of shooting weddings- one thing that can’t be coached is chemistry- and these two definitely have it. They had fun, laughed, let their personalities shine, and we made some wonderful portraits together. I loved watching their light and easy interactions, the way Adam can provoke the sweetest laughter from Lydia with a simple look.

I also loved Lydia’s first dance with her father- the way she fit perfectly in his arms, and his look of pure pride as he held her. It’s these sweet little moments that make wedding photography my love- every family, every couple is so unique, and while some wedding days may look similar on the surface, if you scratch a little deeper, these are the moments that set people apart. Their relationships, personalities and interactions.
