There are some wedding venues that just fit perfectly with your style, and Kindred Barn, for me, was definitely one of them. This bright, light and airy farmhouse style venue has an authenticity that perfectly defines a truly elegant Arkansas wedding. I loved shooting Karlie’s bridal session here, and their wedding was just as beautiful. That will be coming up in a few days, but for now, keep scrolling for some of my favorite images from her bridals.
As with every photographer on the planet, I’m constantly analyzing my style and trying to make sure it stays true to how I want to represent myself, while always looking fresh and modern. A big goal of mine has been to create images that stand the test of time- not ones that follow trends and date themselves quickly. Because wedding images stay with families for a lifetime- they have to look as good in 50 years as they do today. The images have to be well-lit and exposed; because while some things might look alright in a tiny instagram square, I can promise they’ll fall apart if examined any larger. I went through a period of time where I strayed from these goals of mine, and finally feel like I’ve found my path again. I’ve been pushing myself to shoot better with every session, and my editing feels like its found a good groove. In fact, Karlie and Noah’s wedding took me exactly 1 week to edit and return to them. While this isn’t always possible, it’s been a testament to taking the time to light things better, and provide a higher quality product to my clients.
