Russell and Katie’s engagement session was such a dream- this couple is as sweet and kind as can be- my favorite kind of people. We met up in Fayetteville at a Lake I had been to many times over the years. I love the location for it’s rustic, heavily wooded setting- all while being a public, easy to access location. I was so surprised when I arrived, however, and noticed the water was almost completely drained from the lake. As I looked closer, I realized how amazing it would be for us to be able to walk, a hundred yards or so, into the dry rock-bottomed lake bed. When we did, our new views were just stunning, and I was so excited with the images we made. Katie and Russell are so natural and comfortable with each other, and I had a great time with them. I’m so looking forward to photographing their intimate Coopers Chapel wedding ceremony this summer!
