Even in it’s simplicity, this is one of my favorite ceremony photos I’ve taken- Jamie and Davis’ Sassafras Springs Vineyard wedding. This moment feel so intimate, like no one else is in the room except two people, declaring their love, for eternity.
The stone chapel at Sassafras is one of my favorite venues- it looks as if it’s been sitting their for a hundred years- the remnants of a beautiful relic. I’ve photographed weddings in this chapel at all different times of the day, in different season, and it always looks different than the time before. As a photographer, having a venue so unique that the possibilities of making creative new images never ends, is what we live for.
